An overhead crane lifts and moves materials using a bridge, trolley and hoist.

An overhead crane has a bridge travelling on rails, a trolley moving along the bridge, and a hoist that raises and lowers the load.
Movement of the bridge and trolley positions the load within the covered work area for material handling.
