A gantry crane's duty classification reflects its load condition and frequency of use. It is determined by utilization class U and load condition Q.
They are divided into eight levels from a1 to a8. The working level of the crane, that is, the working level of the metal structure, is determined according to the lifting mechanism and is divided into levels a1-a8. If compared with the working types of cranes specified in China, it is roughly equivalent to: a1-a4: light duty; a5-a6: medium duty; a7: heavy duty; and a8: extra-heavy duty.
